The Faulkner Tarot The First Modern Photographic Tarot deck

Wow what an amazing Deck this is, created by Rhiannon Faulkner. This new deck is amazing. The author who created this has really took tarot to a new dimension, using real life images of people she knows ,with photographic images in black and white, with a real down to earth easy to understand feel, such a transformation to the original Tarot of the old school that we usually are familiar with. The images to these cards are easy to work with, anyone can use them from the novice to the more adept. With images of real life people and cars, and atms,the London wheel.

Psy cards a new dimension to the Tarot...

There are 40 cards is this deck . The cards are grouped into 5 main categories: Direction cards, fundamentals, symbols, archetypes, characters, and happenings.

This is another addition to my huge deck of Tarot and Oracle collection. They really get into the Psyche and touch on the most deeper issues that are going on around and within your life.  They show very powerful symbols that stands out for something else, like a signpost. Which work on different levels,intellectual and emotional. Over the years maybe for hundreds and thousands of years, individual powerful symbols have worked themselves into the wiring of our brains!
A symbol is often a bridge that links two different areas of human experience.

I love this deck as it goes deep and very different from the usual Tarot deck, they have such a powerful influence in its own right. Its influence is modified by those cards near it, as with the traditional tarot! giving very accurate readings, i wouldn't  really recommend this deck  to the novice who is learning to read cards or hasn't developed their psychic ability ,as they are more for a professional reader. As they take alot of focus and intuition to really delve into things.

Also i want to add that there are 3 cards in this deck. the Now, Yes, No ,and Never which is very good for straight forward questions you want immediate , yes no answers to!

Robin Wood Tarot

Robin Wood Tarot

Today i have decided to use the Robin Wood Deck for my daily tarot.

Wow what  a mix this is, 3 major cards, so I'm thinking today is going to be one of importance, or rather my life at the moment is going through some very major changes, The fool shows a fresh new beginning and perhaps stepping out into unknown territory  which seems quite daunting to say the least , seeing as i usually like to stick to what i know. Its all about stepping out of my comfort zone and the apprehension I'm feeling regarding this, i already am aware of this , so I'm not surprised these cards have shown up for me today! 

The world is showing fulfilment will at last be mine , the fact that all the lessons have or are about to be learnt and I'm at last reaching my goal and its about to happen.

 The death card shows me that i need to let go of my comfort zone and to not be afraid of the changes that I'm going through right now , as its very much needed, and that the new beginning will be positive as long as i think things through and be sensible , I'm happy to have received these 3 cards today actually as i have been pretty worried of these changes that i am aware of , not that they are negative, its life changing for me and its what I've always been striving for.

Daily Cards

Taken from Today's Journey 

Today i have pulled 3 cards from my new deck , this is the first reading I've done with these cards, so bare with me and they are pretty new to me, as I'm more use to the more traditional style of Tarot cards,so these cards should bring some new insight to my readings, as they take on a more modern feel. so here goes this is what my day will bring , according to this deck............

OK the Four of Water ( 4 of cups )  opportunity, shows me that the beginning of my day begins with the feeling that i am not seeing opportunities that are around me , and the fact that the ground is wet shown on the card, how interesting as its raining today! so would be predicting the weather lol. 

It shows me walking around and not seeing where I'm going and completely absorbed in something and not talking notice of the world around me..well that don't surprise me as this is me.

Its almost telling  me to look up and take notice otherwise i could miss something being offered to me.

The Six of Fire.( 6 of wands ) Leadership, victory,Triumph...so this tells me that today is going to be on triumph and success, wow, others may be looking to me for leadership and to help show them the way. I'm being told to celebrate my victory and according the above card this could be an offer of help I'm giving to others and it is very much appreciated. So maybe i shall i notice this new offer that is coming my way after all , rather than looking down at the ground .

Materialism (Devil) Whoa the dreaded Devil card...actually i don't mind this card , even though it puts the wind up many others, but i get the feeling with this card that someone could be deceiving me or vice versa, hmmm what i believe to be true could be an illusion! now i didn't expect this today, so il let this one play out and see what comes to light.  I need to reevaluate my surroundings or people and perhaps find my own truth!

So all on all its going one of them days with challenges and taking note of whats around me, and not to feel disillusioned with situations or what others say or do to me, and victory coming my way and achieving my best at the task i need to be doing today.

Todays Journey Tarot  Expanding Dimensions

I would like to share with you, my new Deck Today's Journey (expanding dimensions) Tarot.

Arrived today, i have been waiting some time for these cards to arrive, in deep anticipation and excitement as  always feel when Ive ordered a new deck and the waiting seems like forever, so at last they've arrived. :-) So i thought i would share my excitement with you, these lovely cards, here are some images above ,i shall be posting up more .

The most interesting thing is, when i was giving them a  good old shuffle and getting to know them as you do, 1 particular card jumped out the pack with force that i felt compelled to take in what the cards message was for me.
The Union card...how interesting , this would be the Lovers in more traditional deck , as these cards are very up to date and not like your usual Ryder Waite inspired.
So going back to the card jumping out at me.. id say it was welcoming me and giving me the go ahead to use my intuition and i must say, these cards have great art work and the message i pick up with the union card was that i have  my guide around me to help and show me how to connect with these cards,which is most reassuring, and the fact that i will bond well with perseverance , and that i shall.

So il keep you posted with this intriguing deck, perhaps i shall use them for the daily cards , i haven't managed to post up yet today as with getting so distracted with the excitement of my new deck.

Today I've drawn the Knight of Pentacles, the Fool and the Ace of Swords,what  a mixed bag, hmmmm, looks like my day is neither here nor there at the moment, i feel that its going to be one those days when anything goes! i must be honest i don't really feel much energy today to complete the tasks i need to do, as with the knight of pents showing up in the beginning of the day, but,i need to commit myself and put my mind into things as with the ace of Swords! if can muster up the strengh and energy that the ace is giving me , then i can succeed, feels a little bit stress though, and i should be getting into my work without being side tracked , (the fool) . All in all to sum things up there is something new coming in a new idea or project i shall be looking into..watch this space!

DAILY CARDS

Today I have chosen the Gilded Tarot as i love these beautiful images.

These are the 3 cards i pulled for the day, I'm quite surprised at the fact they are all earth cards, pentacles. OK so today looks to be one that is purely focused on the practical, material side of life, I'm thinking that maybe I'm going to be juggling my time around today, not always a good thing for me as my stress levels arnt so good right now. As with the 9 of pents that's me spending time on the things i enjoy and and focusing on me myself and i, sometimes we need to time for ourselves , without thinking about others, but as the king has reared his head in these cards I'm wondering is he going to be something of a distraction?, whilst I'm juggling around my time today.. watch this space as i shall be letting this play out for today and we will see tomorrow what has come to light....

Justice

Justice shows fairness, balance and  honesty,when this card shows up in your reading you need to see two sides of the story and making decisions is paramount, if you have a hard decision to make weigh it up and then go for it. This card can go either way just like the scales she is holding, you either get in the good side of others or the bad side, the choice is yours, but just remember, justice can be harsh so you will be accountable of your actions good or bad! I find this card also can show up if you are in need of an apology from someone who has treated you unfairly shows justice shall be done, in your favour.!

The Hanged Man

The Hanged Man, do you ever get that feeling you are just hanging around and waiting and waiting, until you are blue in the face? well when this card shows you need to really go do something different whilst you are waiting and pass the time away or you may become frustrated and putting life on hold, this isn't a good thing it blocks you from allowing anything else to come in for you. Just take some time and think about what you can do to make your wait more bearable.
Apart from hanging around this card shows a new way of seeing things, afterall when you are upside down you are actually a state of mind that differs from those around you, and you  may not be taking the time to see others point of view, so you can turn things around if look honestly at the problem or issue and you may very well find a new way of seeing things, just like the hanged man !!

Death

Death card , now don't get too worried with this card as you may be very grateful that it has shown up in your reading, as it shows endings and a new transformation into a new area of your life. This shows you may need to make a huge change in your life, if things are outworn or are not fulfilling you no longer the message here is, let go and dig out all the outworn weeds and grow something new and fresh, as nothing new can grow while theres weeds in the way. You may find that when you end something whether it be a job, a relationship or any part of your life that has become stale and stagnant then the universe brings you something so much better to take its place, so go on think of the things that you don't need anymore and weed it out of your life, ready to accept the new and fresh growth!

Temperance

Temperance how beautiful this card is, another very healing energy, but this time its about getting the right mix the right balance. If you have been overdoing things recently this card shows you to take things easy be relaxed for a change do the stuff you enjoy and don't worry about the little things. Moderation is the key here and not to overdo anything. Also i feel this card is a sigh of your guardian angel or spirit guide is there to help you, just ask and you shall receive , you are being taken care of. So the message here is, be cool , calm and stay balanced, and all will go your way.!

The Devil

The Devil whoarr! some people love him or they hate him,when he shows up in your readings be sure to  keep yourself in check, others may see you as obsessive or jealous , the devil has many many charactors i would say, he shows the fears we all encounter , about ourselves our bad habits the negative side of us or others. If this card shows up in a love  relationship reading, you really are in for a hard time as he can be very deep and you will know about this, as he gives off a flare of obsessive or jealous behaviour,  and attitude at its worse, in fact this behaviour could be coming from you.! I feel it also connects with our sexual side of life too, to be careful not to allow ourselves to indulge too much especially with the wrong person, just be on your guard when this card appears and watch out for negative in others and know not to push things until  a better time comes around!

The Tower

The Tower eek! lol this card always puts the wind up people ,but, to be honest i feel this card can actually be very positive especially if you are in a restrictive situation you so want to get out of. You may feel like you are in a prison, (not in the literal sense of course) but in the  sense that your life or situation may have become quite stagnant and theres not much movement going in or you are the one who cant move out of your restriction, be thankful when the tower shows as your sure to notice some upheavals and changes that may at first turn your world upside down, but, once the dust has settled you will find that you feel refreshed and ready to begin again on new footing!

The star

The Star is another beautiful and positive card to have in your readings, this shows faith ,hope and healing to whatever part of your life it touches on. You can be assured you will succeed, a good card for tests and exams . You will get your wish this card is known as the "wish card" in the major arcana. Healing is all around this card, if you have had a relationship breakdown or have fallen out with someone then you couldnt ask for a better card than the star, as things are sure to heal and improve. Follow your star and it will lead you to your destiny!

The Moon

The Mystery of the Moon shows all what you cant see and maybe confused about, you need to dig deep when this card shows up, others around you maybe acting out of character, you may be fooling yourself or deluding yourself or others. Be sure to not read too much into things when the Moon appears in a reading as you don't know all the facts, you cant quite work out what the hell is going with yourself or others, best to just relax and wait , before you make any major decisions as its not really a good time. You may not trust certain situations or people at the this time. just wait for this confusing phase to pass , as it will!

The Sun

The Sun is a wonderful card showing you to get in touch with your childlike and playful side, you may experience happy feelings and enlightenment . Other will be drawn to you ,as you give out your sunny energy ,a new attraction is on the cards for sure, especially around the summer time. Hot places and holidays show up also with this card. New and happy feelings are shared with others, letting go any grievances and if you have been having a rough time of it of late, things are sure to improve. You can communicate well with others , so a good card for communication!

Judgement

Judgement shows you to look back to the past and figure out what you can change, it tells you to make ammends with anyone you feel you have fallen out with, and the rectify any mistakes you may have made, its a card of summing up and deciding who or what you want in your life, also to reconcile with those you love if there has been a falling out. You may wish to move on from them or you may hold out the olive branch and sort things out once and for, its not a final card as it gives you 2nd chances, so a good card really , unless you really feel you cant go back there.! then you will move on and find what it is you really do want in your life, wether it be person or situation !

The World

The World card shows, completion of all what has gone before, you have acheived what you set out to do, with fullfillment. Travel to other countries, maybe a trip around the world, if you are stuck in a rut ,this card would show you to get out of your restrictions and venture out more, the world is a big place ,there is so much to love and see, take a look around you  and see what you can achieve. All the lessons of the previous major arcana have been learnt ,but you dont stop there you carry on onto your next life adventure!!

The Fool

Here we have the Fool on the begining of his journey. who knows what or where hes at? Is he about to step off the cliff and make the same mistakes again? its all about new beginings of a whole new chapter in your life, and the unknown,its time for reaching out and doing the stuff you havent done before, taking risks and a leap of faith, you may feel fearful about your new direction, but this card message is , "go for it" dont be afraid, you will learn many lessons on the way and meet some exciting new people, meet new loves , go to differant places. So today take that step and go in  a new direction, you never know what happens!!

The Magician

The Magician appears to give you a message, that comes from within, he shows you what you are capable of,your abilites and talents that you may not be useing. you need to be active when this card shows in a reading, as this brings you so much more than what you thought, new beginings in any area you wish to go forward with. In a relationship sense you may meet a new lover one that is very clever, also its a card of communication, showing you need to take things into your own hands and make that call or text. Show your own power and magic to achieve what you want!
